Yup, they can penalized him, but what would that do?
IMHO, the last note in our national anthem should really be passionate. Having a high last note shows you are really passionate about your country. Of course, it doesn't mean your patriotic or not just by singing the anthem in the wrong or right way. I don't think it's disrespectful to change the last note.
The whole national anthem really sounds good, but to have like a flat note or a low note at the end, honestly, it doesn't show passion. Parang ang lamya pag kinanta mo ng mababang tono yung last word na "sa'yo". Eh yung pagiging malamya o matamlay parang ibig sabihin di mo naman talagang gusto ang sinasabi or ginagawa mo. Just my 2 cents. :)
If I was the one in charge, I would like to have the last note change to a high note...... I hope mr. felipe won't mind. (or i could have a medium ask permission from him :)
